for 400 MW Mihundon hydroelectric project on the river Mathun in Dibang Valley District
These projects were awarded on the basis of Competitive Bidding carried out by the state government. As per the bid, the free power to be provided to the State varies between 15 to 18 percent of the energy generated from the projects.
These projects are part of Government of India’s 50,000 MW Hydro Initiative. As per the terms of the MoAs, all these projects, which are Run-of-the-River schemes, are required to be implemented on Build-Own-Operate-Transfer (BOOT) basis.
